I’ve spent a big part of my life in the world of nightlife and hospitality. From walking onto the University of Georgia football team to leading teams at some of the busiest venues in Las Vegas, my journey has been anything but ordinary. I’ve learned what it takes to build an experience, how to read a room, anticipate needs, and create moments people remember. But lately, I’ve felt a pull toward something bigger, something that could have a broader, deeper impact. That’s why I’m diving into aerospace and drone technology.
Why the Shift?
At first glance, nightlife and aerospace might seem worlds apart. One is about human connection, energy, and entertainment. The other is about machines, logistics, and sometimes, the distant future. But if you look closer, the entrepreneurial spirit behind both is remarkably similar. Both require vision, innovation, and relentless problem-solving.
For me, the shift isn’t just about chasing new tech trends. It’s about taking everything I’ve learned: about people, systems, and leadership, and applying it to challenges that matter on a larger scale. The more I explore aerospace and drones, the more I see an incredible opportunity to use these tools for good: to help communities, support emergency services, and improve how we respond to crises.
The Problem-Solving Mindset
Entrepreneurship has always been about solving problems. Whether I was managing hospitality teams or building startups, my focus was on identifying gaps and creating solutions. In hospitality, the gap was often how to make every guest feel seen and valued in an environment that’s fast-paced and ever-changing.
Now, that gap looks different. It’s about how to improve emergency response times, how to deliver medical supplies to hard-to-reach places, or how to gather critical data about infrastructure damage after a disaster. Aerospace and drone tech can transform these challenges, making help faster, smarter, and more efficient.
Why Drones?
Drones, in particular, fascinate me because they blend technology with real-world impact. They’re not just flying gadgets; they’re tools that can carry supplies, map disaster zones, inspect bridges and pipelines, and even support food delivery in remote areas. Imagine a future where a drone can deliver a vaccine to someone in a rural community within hours instead of days.
I believe drones are going to revolutionize many industries, and the humanitarian applications are especially compelling. This technology is still emerging, which means there’s room for innovation and new ideas—and that’s where I want to be.
Lessons from Nightlife That Translate to Tech
People often ask me how my experience in nightlife fits with this new venture. I see a lot of parallels. Nightlife taught me how to lead under pressure, how to balance big-picture strategy with attention to detail, and how to build a team that thrives on collaboration.
Those lessons apply directly to tech innovation. Developing aerospace solutions or drone applications is complex and requires a team with diverse skills. Just like managing a busy event or venue, success depends on clear communication, adaptability, and a shared vision.
The Importance of Systems Thinking
One of the biggest shifts for me has been embracing systems thinking. In hospitality, you learn to manage people and operations in real time. In aerospace and drone tech, the systems get bigger and more interconnected, think supply chains, regulatory environments, and technical infrastructure.
I’m excited to bring my experience in operational discipline and strategy to this space. I believe that with the right systems in place, we can scale solutions that not only work in theory but truly improve lives.
A Vision for Impact
My motivation has always been to create ventures that matter. I don’t want to build something flashy that burns out quickly. I want to build something that lasts, something that improves communities, supports first responders, and helps people in tangible ways.
The potential for aerospace and drone technology to save lives and enhance emergency response is immense. I’m inspired by the idea of contributing to innovations that make a difference when it counts the most.
Staying Grounded While Aiming High
This journey is as humbling as it is exciting. Aerospace and drone tech come with technical challenges, regulatory hurdles, and high stakes. But I’m no stranger to challenges. My past ventures, including some hard lessons and setbacks, have taught me resilience and the importance of empathy.
I’m approaching this space with humility, curiosity, and a commitment to learning. Every day is a chance to grow, to connect with experts, and to translate ideas into actionable solutions.
What’s Next?
Right now, I’m building partnerships, exploring cutting-edge drone applications, and helping municipalities think through how these technologies can support their communities. I’m also continuing my consulting work focused on emergency response, which ties directly into the mission of leveraging aerospace innovation for public good.
I see this as just the beginning. As the technology evolves, so will the opportunities, and I’m committed to being at the forefront of that change.
Connecting the Dots: How Diverse Experiences Shape Innovation
Switching from nightlife to aerospace might sound like a leap. But at its core, it’s just another chapter in my ongoing journey as an entrepreneur: spotting gaps, building solutions, and working alongside incredible teams to bring those solutions to life.
I’m energized by the possibilities, driven by purpose, and eager to see where this path leads. Because no matter the industry, success looks the same to me—it’s about impact, integrity, and the relentless pursuit of better ways to solve problems.
